Amor Atlas reviews and ranks AI companion platforms. We started it because the existing options were either directory listings with no testing behind them, or affiliate pages that ordered the results by commission rate and hoped nobody would notice.

What we do
We buy subscriptions to AI companion platforms at retail, test them against a fixed protocol, score them on six published criteria, and publish the results in ten languages. That is the entire business.
Every platform we rank gets the same treatment: the same character brief, the same image prompts, the same memory test days later, the same cancellation attempt. Standardised inputs are the only way a comparison means anything.
How we make money
Affiliate commission. When a reader subscribes through one of our links, the platform pays us a share of what they spend. It costs the reader nothing extra and it is disclosed at the top of every page and on every outbound link.
Commission rates vary widely between our partners, which is exactly why the ranking is computed rather than curated. The full explanation, along with the weights, is on our methodology page.
The rules we hold ourselves to
These are not aspirations. They are the constraints the site is built around, and where possible they are enforced in code rather than by good intentions.
- No paid placements. A position in the ranking has never been for sale and never will be.
- Scores are computed from published sub-scores, so a score can never quietly disagree with its own breakdown.
- We rank platforms we earn nothing from, and recommend them by name where they are the better fit.
- Every commercial link is marked sponsored and routed through a disclosed redirect.
- Corrections are applied on evidence, from anyone, including operators we compete with commercially.
Who this site is for
Adults deciding whether to spend money on an AI companion, and which one. That is it. We are not here to tell anyone whether they should want one — that is nobody's business but theirs — only to make sure that if they do, they do not waste €200 finding out that the €6 plan was €6 for one month of twelve.
If you are looking for help with something heavier than a subscription decision, an AI companion is not the answer and neither are we. Talk to a person.
Getting in touch
Corrections come first. If a price, a feature or a fact here is wrong, tell us — name the page and, if you have it, attach a link or a screenshot showing the correct information. Confirmed errors are fixed quickly and the change is noted. That applies to platform operators too: a correction backed by evidence is applied whether or not we have a commercial relationship with you.
